The little ones (and perhaps not so little ones) are chattin it up these past few weeks. Here's a few of the cute things they've said:
While coloring at the kitchen table:
Kyra: Mommy, there are so many people having babies! You have a baby in your tummy, and you have two friends that have babies in their tummies.
Mom: I know, isn't that exciting?
Kyra: Does Rudy have a baby in his tummy?
Mom: Umm...no. He's a boy. And boy's don't have babies.
Kyra: Well...we need to get him a girl then!
(Anyone want to explain a neutered dog to her?)
While thinking of N objects we could bring for N week at school:
Mom: Hmmm...there's a nest, but I don't think we could find one of those this time of year (in my head I kept thinking of adjective and verb N words, but had trouble coming up with an object). Oh, I know how about a nickel!
Kyra: Mommyyy! I can't show everyone in my class my nickels on my body!
Mom: Kyra, no silly, a nickel is a type of money.
(fyi, many kids in class that day showed their nickels...money that is! Good thing I straightened her out before school!)
While playing with some other kids:
Little girl: I got a leapster for Christmas, what did you get?
Katie: I got a Christmas too!
(evidently she didn't quite get the question. But she seemed happy enough that they both had Christmas!)
And this is from the newest member to Tiny Talk:
While packing and getting ready to go to Chicago:
Dad: Honey did you pack my dress up shoes?
Mom: Noo, but I did pack your dress shoes. Did you want me to pack your pink sparkly shoes or the purple ones with bows?
(I got a glaring look for that one and will probably get another one when he finds out I shared it with everyone! But it was worth it. Evidently he's been hanging around little girls a little too much!)

The nickels story was to cute! I was cracking up about the dress up shoes.. so which pair did he pick hehe.
Good comeback with your hubby! For some reason my girls refer to those body parts as their elbows (even though they also clearly know where the elbow is), lol. That poor teacher, as all these kids are lifting their shirts - she must have been bent over in hysterics!
LOL, love the nickels comment!
Bahahha... I love the "dress up shoes" comment from your husband. Hilarious.
And Katie's "I got Christmas" comment was so cute.
Heck, they all made me laugh.
Kids say the funniest things, don't they??? Thanks for sharing your cute "kids" sayings!
Glad to see you back online. I enjoy these each week. You're one of 8 couple I know that are expecting!!!
Oh she is so cute! I had a Christmas too :)
Happy late TTT!
LOL at the one between you and your Hubs. Although, the one about the nickles is pretty funny too. They all had me giggling!
